A Conversation with Gervase Bushe on Generative Leadership

I n recent years, a growing chorus has raised concerns that conventional ideas about leadership are not adequate for responding to today's complex organizational challenges. The notion that good leadership astutely analyzes a problematic situation and provides a vision that shows the way to success doesn't work in complex situations. We will discuss a different image of leadership that has proven effective for managing conditions of uncertainty, ambiguity, and volatility: "generative leadership."

T his webinar will be hosted by the International Society for Organizational Development and Change (isodc.org) and will be with Gervase R. Bushe, Ph.D. (Case Western Reserve), is a professor of leadership and organization development at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser Univesity, and the author of over 100 articles and books, including "Clear Leadership: Sustaining Real Collaboration and Partnership at Work."
